A new D-Link Wi-Fi camera drops at CES 2015

LAS VEGAS — Security cameras aren’t a new product category for D-Link, but the company has just announced an addition to the lineup — the $120 HD Wi-Fi Camera (model number DCS-935L). D-link Wi-Fi

The DCS-935L claims to deliver a 720p resolution, a 78-degree horizontal field of view, night vision with a 16-foot range and integration with the Mydlink app on your Android, iOS or Windows device.

Through the Mydlink app, you should be able to stream live video and opt in or out of motion-and-sound-related push alerts. And, in a very Belkin WeMo fashion, D-Link’s new camera is designed to work alongside the brand’s Wi-Fi Smart Plug and W-Fi Motion Sensor for a more full-integrated connected home, available in a bundled kit for $190.

The stand-alone camera and larger kit (the camera plus the plug and motion sensor) will be available in the first quarter along with another bundled kit that includes an existing D-Link camera, the DCS-5222L, and the same Wi-Fi Smart Plug and Wi-Fi Motion Sensor for $230.

The idea here is that you will be able control multiple D-Link products from the same Mydlink app, create custom rules and find a better way to watch over your smart home. .
